Final Fantasy Vii Xbox Remake

Concluding Fantasy 7 Remake came to Steam final nighttime. It'due south been on PC via the Epic Game Shop for 6 months, and was on PlayStation platforms for 18 months before that. Information technology's time, Foursquare Enix – bring it to Xbox.

I'm the biggest fan of these games. Nosotros shelled out on the special edition of the Remake, and I thoroughly enjoyed every 2nd of information technology. I loved the DLC too.

With its availability slowly expanding, information technology doesn't seem like there'due south much excuse to go on it abroad from Xbox players at present. You can argue for and against exclusives, and doubly so for third-party exclusives. But plenty is enough.

Crisis Core on Xbox

This is highlighted by the bizarre decision to bring the new edition of Crunch Core to Xbox Series consoles. The remake/remaster of the PSP classic was a surprising part of the Final Fantasy Vii stream last nighttime. And it'll be available on everything.

Information technology feels like the re-release is probably for a reason: Zack's role in the next game (now titled Rebirth and coming to PlayStation 5 next winter) will be bigger.

But what practiced does that exercise to Xbox players? And if information technology's a example of "might too", why not have the same attitude towards the remake itself?

It doesn't make any sense. Outside of the full general feel of PlayStation existence the dwelling of Last Fantasy, bringing a two-year-one-time game to Xbox is non going to injure Sony in the slightest. PlayStation isn't the atypical habitation of Final Fantasy. When the pixel remakes oasis't striking console, and 'inspired past' titles similar Octopath Traveller and Triangle Strategy are skipping PlayStation besides, information technology seems similar a hollow victory. Information technology's finer simply "this franchise doesn't come to Xbox consistently".

If anything, all this says is the best place to play Concluding Fantasy games is on PC. And it's difficult to argue with that. And so long every bit you don't take mean solar day one FOMO, PC is the all-time place to play the Last Fantasy series. Sony are sometimes simply the first.

Concluding Fantasy VII Remake

There's no doubtfulness that Foursquare and Sony accept a good human relationship. Rumours never seem to terminate almost what'southward going to happen with them adjacent.

That's fine. Companies tin piece of work together. Bethesda and Xbox were close before the purchase. This isn't an equal opportunities state of affairs. Sometimes players on i console are going to miss out.

But then sometimes there are situations that just experience like they're spiting the players. The benefits of any deal are watered down to the bespeak where you're but post-obit a piece of newspaper. The client, wherever they play, cease to benefit. Oftentimes they never did in the first place.

I'm not saying a port of Final Fantasy VII Remake would be simple. Information technology would be as complicated and every bit like shooting fish in a barrel as any slice of game development is.

But at this point, not doing information technology only seems odd. And at the very least, if it isn't coming, put the fans out of their misery. Announce exactly what the bargain is so that those that want to play it on their console of choice can make other plans.
